Pagoda Dogwood

In May or June, flat-topped clusters of fragrant, yellowish white flowers are followed by handsome blue-black berries on red stems. This spreading, low-branched tree has an attractive horizontal habit. The foliage is burgundy in fall. In northern areas it is a good alternative to cold-sensitive Flowering Dogwood (Cornus florida).
