Missouri Gardener's Companion, an Insider's Guide to Gardening in the Show-Me State

A first book by Becky Homan, retired garden editor of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch, in a gardening series from Globe Pequot Press, the largest publisher of regional travel in the U.S., with emphasis on outdoor recreation---"Exactly," says Homan, "what home gardening should be about!"

Becky's first book signing is in the St. Louis area. She will have a book signing at the Herb Society sale, on Saturday, April 19, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., in the gift shop of the Missouri Botanical Garden, 4344 Shaw Blvd. In the Kansas City area, another book signing takes place on Saturday, May 3, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., alongside the popular Spring Plant Sale at Powell Gardens, 1609 N.W. U.S. Highway 50, 64061.

Here's what three early reviewers had to say:

Becky's easy-to-read style and thorough listing of resources make it a superb guide."-- P. Allen Smith, garden designer, author, and host of P. Allen Smith's Garden Home

"Becky Homan helps demystify home gardening and makes it fun and timely for residents across Missouri in a book that's one part travelogue and two parts solid Missouri home-gardening advice." — Dr. Peter Raven, president, Missouri Botanical Garden
